New to SciFi Minds is Wiki-like editing. What is that, I hear you cry? Well, it basically means anyone can edit the text on most of our pages.

I'll say that again. Anyone can now edit synopses, episode guide information and more!

That should hopefully mean our episode guides get filled in more accurately that we can manage alone, and faster too. Any registered user will find little links scattered around the site saying Wiki: Edit or View History . The latter link, View History, lets you see which edits people have made in the past.

You may think, What if someone replaces the info with profanity or spam?

Well, we keep a log of the history of each edit. If someone defaces an article, we can call it back easily enough. (Soon, anyone will be able to do the recalling too.) Also, we keep a note of who did what. If a member starts spamming, it's a simple matter to warn then ban them.

Wiki-like editing has been extended to the Characters section of the site; you can now edit the characters info, and the actors bio.

So, please go forth and improve SciFi Minds by adding some info to the characters or episode guides... Smile

hello, i found your post [ http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=41429&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15 ] about a wiki working together with the phpbb forum.. where did you get this mod or did you write it yourself? can i have your code, can i download it somewhere or is there a howto?

i'd like to let the registered phpbb users edit the wiki articles without having to register at the wiki (i'm using the mediawiki).

ok, thanks in advance and happy easter Very Happy

Sorry; was away for the last week.

I've got a thread up about it here . All the code has been written by me. There is currently no released code, but I'll be getting an alpha out shortly.
